10 hours of nonstop fighting, 2000 ships total, 1000 dead ones, Northern Coalition (NC) killing Legion of xXDEATHXx (XIX) IHub and winning the battle, this is the most accurate description of the LXQ2-T (Etherium Reach) battle. One last timer stands before NC, to achieve what noone has achieved in more than a year, to claim a station from the Russian Drone Forces (DRF) – (not counting the Intrepid Crossings (IRC) ones in Cobalt Edge).
Numbers reached over 1000 in system in the evening when the timers on station and Ihub came out. Each side used approx. 1000+ ships during the whole afternoon and evening. Many pilots brought in second and third ships due to short resupply routes and constant titan bridging from both sides.
XIX dropped four triage carriers but they didn’t accomplish much before they died to NC. Several supercarriers sat in a POS and haven´t engage at all. During the whole time, NC had the upper hand, and more pilots on grid. White Noise. fleet jumped in late and got massacred on gate, bombers wing haven done much damage due to heavy lag.
IHub was killed purely by battleships and support as NC hasn´t used any super or normal capitals in the fight.
Interesting note is that it is for the first time i can remember, that DRF called everyone in this fight – XIX, RA,SOLAR and WN, and all their renters, allies or pets.
In terms of lag Wusti (C0NVICTED) says:
TBH the early part of the fight was surprisingly playable once you adjusted to 30sec delays on p much everything. I had to hoof it about 4AM AU time and the node hadn’t yet climbed above 930, and all the old anti-lag efforts seemed to work OK to get your ship semi-responsive.
Another player from NC commented:
It felt like maybe the 150-ish WN battleship fleet that jumped into LXQ2- from the 8KE- gate did not load grid for maybe 5-7 minutes. When they jumped in, local tipped over 1k for the first time. Sadly it was taking forever for probes to launch and fleet warps to happen, so we couldn’t take advantage of this grid failure soon enough.

Later on, again with local above 1k, some NC reinforcements failed to load grid and mostly DIAF’ed. But, yeah, by and large, whenever local was 900 players or less, the lag was entirely management/playable, so there has definitely been some substantial improvements. Of course, the best improvements came after killing all those lag-inducing heavy missile spewing drakes right guiz right.
