Two days ago we got a tip about Fatal Ascension [FA] alliance undergoing some internal changes, at first we got report of a coup being performed, leaving Raven Shadows from Shadowed Command [XSCX] out of the top stop as him would be replaced by Zagdul also from [XSCC].
After inquiring Zagdul about this, we got the following statement:
As a result of discussions with our Deklein Coaltiion allies, and subsequent discussions of the Fatal Ascension High Command, there has been a decision that the overall lead role within the alliance leadership must change if we are to keep our position within the DekCo in order to keep what we’ve built here, and to be able to respond in the way we need to as a growing power in Eve. Key to this is a stronger focus on overall strategic combat leadership and strong ties with our closest allies.
As a result, it has been agreed that Raven Shadows will be stepping down as the primary leader of the alliance. We want to make it very clear that this should not be seen as a big bad against Raven. He built this alliance, he has been its heart and soul and he still is. We all pay tribute to what he has done for us all to make FA a great place to be and we wouldn’t want to do anything to take away from that. However, FA has grown to be something very different than it was when it started out, or even a year ago, things happen and we move with the times.
The HC has agreed that due to his links with our allies, strong personal trust of TEST and other leadership, and strong ability in overall strategic combat planning that Zagdul should step up to that lead role for Fatal Ascension.
Zag is back, and fully ready to do what needs doing within that role in conjunction with the rest of FA High Command members who are rallying behind him to take FA forward. His role will mainly focus on overall “sky marshalling” and “big vision” for FA’s direction, and ensuring we follow through on our key plans.
The overall HC and Council structures within the alliance remain the same. Zag has shown he has the ability, the contacts and the relationships with our main allies now to lead the overall combat direction and strategy of this alliance, and now that we are a big player that’s something that is key – but we are still going to be a team effort and each of us will play the parts we are good at and share the responsibilities.
For now let us just say that we are very confident FA is and has already been moving in the right direction, and we are equally confident that if we keep that going our position in the DekCo, and our space in Fountain and so on will remain secure and we will continue to grow.
Fatal Ascension has come a long way in the last year, we are a strong family of corporations and Eve can expect plenty more to come from us!

After it, we were hit with the following email sent from FA new CEO
FW: mail send zag to the CEO ./ Directors

To: Fatal Ascension,To my fellow FA doods.
I sent this to the directors and CEO’s and thought all of you should have a read.
Going forward, your CEO’s and directors will be the ones handing this type of stuff to you. Something I want to try and have going forward is transparency. I want you all involved in the how we progress forward. I want you all motivated to set the pace at which -FA- moves forward.
You’re all potentially a leader in -FA-, I started as a grunt, a dude in a frigate. The role “director” or “CEO” is not a necessity to play a role in how we function.

To: Fatal Council,A lot has been happening and I’m sure there are a lot of questions.
Stop the mails….
I have already been spending a lot of time answering them all.
1. The rumors have got to stop. Take your tinfoil hats off, TEST/Goons were NEVER trying to snipe from FA, however, they were going to ask us to leave.
Why? Well, they lost confidence in us as a force to be recokoned with. They didn’t have faith that we were able to, not only defend our space, but more importantly, theirs. We weren’t seen as anything of value. We as an alliance hold some very valuable space, it has a big fucking bullzeye on it. We litterally hold some of the best space in EVE and we need to continue to SHOW that we have it for a reason. We weren’t to our allies. When this happens, no matter how well you view us internally, our external view is more important. The way our allies view us as being strong, stable and not pushovers is far more vital than how we feel we are performing internally. Any leader is goign to do what he feels best for the group he is leading. If this means keeping strong allies close and removing weak ones, you will do what is in your best interest to grow stronger. That said, if we had weak allies, we would want them to go. Just as weak corps within -FA-, you want them to go as they don’t provide value to the alliance. I will discuss what a weak corp later… I’m not discussing just “pvp”.
2. We need to show that we are not weak. I don’t think we are or else I wouldn’t have accepted this task. And a mean task at hand I have. There is a lot of work I have on my plate right now. Not only am I answering the questions of the memebrs, but of CEO’s and directors of the corporatons in this alliaince. Furthermore, the NC/DekCo and a whole host of other people are knocking at my door wondering wtf is going on. Well, we will grow from this. FA is actually in a position to be the strongest it has ever been and I plan on claming our stake in this game. So what I’m asking from everyone is patience. I can only do so much at once and I plan on delegating as much of the bullshit as possible. I do not want to be this one stop person that everyone has to rely on. I think it makes -FA- weak. I am of the belief that if 1 person gives 100% you’ll have a bitter and overworked person. If you have 10 people giving 10%, you’ll have a solid group, but potentially still have a weak foundation. What I’m after is 100 dudes giving 5% so the amount of effort needed to stablize everything is spread, the load across a bed of nails is much better distributed than some dude standing on one.
3. How do I plan on doing this and what will I do as leader?
I plan on making -FA- full members of the Deklin Coaliton. This means that officially we are leaders of a coalition, we are not guests, we are not lap dogs and we are full members where we are not taking direction, instead… giving it. We as an alliance have options, we can try to push for membership of the NC, we can go relocate to the south and start up with the southern coalition again or we can do a radical thing and go claim our own space somewhere and just try to start with new roots. The best route I think, for this alliance, is to continue on the path we’ve been going but kick it up a knotch. In order to kick it up a knotch, I need participating and hungry corps within FA. If you’re already doing the max you feel your corp can contribute, good… don’t stop, if you think you can do more, then do it. Bottom line is that to run an alliance, I need combat people, I need indy people, I need logistics and I need you. I can’t do this alone and I refuse to bare the load of this alliance soley on my shoulders. I just hope that I can bind the leadership together and bring some stability to what has been a fucking rocky road, but a fun one.
Regards,
Zagdul
It is interesting to note that Raven Shadows is now a member of NPC corp Perkone [P] and it will be left to see how this new leadership change plays out in the offset of the Pure Blind war that’s raging, if you would like to send leaks, tips or comments, feel free to do it via info@evenews24.com
