Intrepid Crossing’s Caravan of Horrors pull from the XIX/SOLAR Conflict. The “Legion” to blame.
Twas the evening in Cobalt and all through the map, not a pilot was stirring, except a PL titan anchoring SBU’s in E-BYOS. The calls over alliance went around with a clatter, get in DPS ships, and warp to the tower.
Alas a form up was called, for dreads and supers, IRC wanted to stick it into the Legion’s pooper. With a 130 in fleet, and a setup for bait, the Intrepid Crossers did what they do best, and that is sit in the tower and wait. After three hours past, and the SBU’s went online, the Legion brought some subcapitals, looking for a good time. Longer we waited, spinning our ships, and we would watch as fleet our count would continue to dip.
With a plan not well established, I’m going to stop rhyming because this is where it gets good. As our valiant FC tried to confuse the spies by saying things like “Align to X” and putting in fleet chat “Align to Y”, all he really did was confuse the hell out of everyone in fleet, and caused confusion beyond belief. A few times we’d warp to an SBU and take some pot shots at it, just to see if we could get the now two titans and a carrier off the station so we could get some of our fleet out, we ended up back at the POS once more. So basically two titans, a carrier and a 20 man sub cap fleet just sbu’d the capital of IRC. After another joyous hour of waiting for our FC to get home….. yes IRC has only one FC that is capable of leading a fleet larger than 20 people….
We finally decided to engage, and sat down on an SBU, started gunning at it, waiting for the party to show up. As the titans landed, one popped a cyno, and the inevitable happened, with more tracking titans and supers jumping in, and killing everyone in their site. With people trying to regroup, and with the e-byos station still rape caged and starting to get renforced, we gave it one last shot to get some kills, and suicided the remainder of the fleet on the station, along with some brave souls who actually bothered to reship. So we leave tonight, with a reinforced system, a 3300 man alliance that can only field a fragmented 100 man fleet, and chaos about to ensue.

Caravan of Horrors
Now this happened almost a week ago, let’s do a bit of a refreshment on current Intrepid Crossing events. Since IRC switched sides from an older XIX ally to SOLAR Fleets rank, a roller-coaster of emotions has been rapturing the alliance. After taking almost half of the Oasa region, Legion of xXDeathXx managed to get Pandemic Legion to in Shadoo’s words “Help and Old Friend”. The result was immediate, first with Pandemic Legion reinforcing everything in sight, helped in no small part by the XIX super-capital fleet and taking back what ever advance Intrepid Crossing had done during the first weeks of the month. As it stands now, all the taken system from Oasa either went back to XIX hands or are in Pandemic Legion’s possession.
This has certainly put a strain in IRC’s newly acquired bravado, specially when Pandemic Legion didn’t stopped there and started SBU’in their E-BYOS capital system in Cobalt Edge. Talk about bacl-slashing consequences of war. Naturally, rats are the first to leave ship at the first hints of sinking, and so the first corporations bailed out, with Element 27 being a notable example. For E27 the rumor is for them to possibly head to Agains All Authorities, but nothing written in stone, what we can confirm is that somehow the Legion had managed to surprise fleeing members during the evacuations.
E-BY station reinforced
by Tessa Yor » 2012.1.18 17:38Last night PL supercap blob rolled into E-BY, deployed SBUs, camped for 3 hours while they onlined and reinforced our station and IHUB. Station services were incapped as well, but thanks to the repair crew all back up and running. It’s not clear what their intentions are at this point. We’ll hope for the best and prepare for the worst.
There are few actions everyone must take now.
- Move your medical clone out of E-BY station, leave a jump clone in if you wish. Reason: if you get podded, you need to be able to update your clone, get a new ship and go back to the fight. E-B station will likely be bubbled or medical services incapped.
- Spread your combat ships around, particularly where your medical clone will be. If your corp has a POS with ship array in system, you can store them there too. We will need lots of bombers (stock concussion and void bombs), cyno ships, fleet battleships, drakes, shield (and possibly armor later) logistics.
- If you have any valuables stored in E-B station, move them out. Be extremely careful – PL keeps a cyno alt there ready to jump on us, and there are xxDeath and Goon gangs around. Scout the station before undocking, use a manual cyno on station instead of cyno gen, make sure the station is not bubbled if you are coming from gate or bridge. Be patient.
- Capital pilots – if you have a combat carrier or dreadnaught in E-B, move it somewhere else. Make sure it’s fitted, fueled and ready to go. Keep a jump clone there.

The goal of this fleet is to camp gates and stations and make sure people can move around safely.
The fleet will regroup for home defense and other larger targets.Focus on our home.

Shortly afterwards Intrepid Crossing gave into the pressure put by Pandemic Legion and in exchange of not getting their region taken away faster than Oasa. An new poster in the kugu thread threw in an interesting insight of the situation:
Well as it turns out, IRC is down 439 pilots in the last 7 days including two of the main active & fighting corps including BAA & -E27- that have left…. IRC made some deal with PL to spare them… Oldma promised to suck Shadoo off or provide titans super cheap…. As Tessa said, now they know what to do for a new upcoming war (maybe have some SBUs/TCUs ready, maybe actually have some ship replacement for logi)! W00T W00T, the ice queen is going to fail FC another war (and a bunch of lonely boys again will sit and listen to her because she has a vagina and plays eve)!
Anywho, the question remains, why did PL spare them? There is NO WAY that IRC can put up a credible defense to anyone at this point. Take out the 3 refinery stations and the war for them is over, the care bear members (i.e. IRC Renters) will all leave IRC within a week. Without the members & refineries, they can’t sell ships to white noise, raiden and become a useless alliance (more so then they are now).

Raw Intel
IRC have given into PL, NC demands and have abandoned Solar Fleet in return for PL to remove SBU’s and stop their attack on IRC Home System E-BYOS.
IRC Corporations are leaving in disgust and many members are up in arms because the IRC High Command have caved in at the first sign of a fight leaving their friends high and dry.
Talk about being thin-skinned. Anyways I want to end with a positive note for Intrepid Crossing, so i’ll leave this video here about them going all the way against Black Legion’s bloopers.
