Thies Antollare of Ray of Matar Assembly was successfully baited out to kill a POCO in the low sec system of Vey. Initially, what looked like a boring structure bash, turned into a well planned trap as a sub cap fleet arrived, followed by a cyno and dreads. The killboard shows a fairly one sided fight.
What it doesn’t show is the Nyx that was able to self destruct with only 30% hull remaining. Making this kill even more tasty is the fact that the character flying the Nyx, Thies Antollare, seems to lack any kills to his name. Making it quite possible that this Nyx is also fresh out of the CSAA. The trap would not really be newsworthy, people claim “super self destructed” too often with little to back up the claim, if one of the pilots hadn’t been on top of the ball and frapsed it. Of course, this same pilot was also wandering around looting when he should have been putting his Megathron’s blasters on the Nyx… but it is unlikely the little extra firepower he would have brought could have made the difference.
